Our Story
Thirteenth Sun Kitchen is my personal chef project, born from a deep love of Japanese cuisine and its elegant simplicity.
After working in Sonoma County kitchens and building relationships with local farmers and producers, I found my true voice: combining Japanese techniques and fermentation with the best ingredients Sonoma has to offer.
I specialize in intimate plated tasting menus and generous family-style dinners for private gatherings, winery events, and special occasions.
Every menu is fully custom — we begin with a conversation about your vision, the season, and the story you want the meal to tell. Nothing is set in stone; everything is shaped around the best ingredients available from local farmers that week.
If you're a business or restaurant interested in fermentation consulting or waste-to-flavor projects (like the bread miso I developed with Downtown Bakery in Healdsburg), I’d love to collaborate.
For now, I’d rather you experience it yourself — whether at one of my pop-ups around Sonoma County or, even better, by bringing me into your home or event for a private dinner.
